¡Hola familias de Robert Warren!
Today’s Remembrance Day assembly was a meaningful and respectful tribute to those who have
served and continue to serve Canada in times of war, conflict and peace. Remembrance Day
holds a special place in the hearts of Canadians as it is a time to honour courage, sacrifice and
the freedoms we are privileged to enjoy because of others’ service.
We are truly grateful to all the students and staff who came together so thoughtfully, in a short
time, to create such a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony. Their efforts helped us remember not
just the history, but the ongoing importance of peace, gratitude and hope for a better future.
As we approach November 11, we encourage families to take a moment to pause, reflect and
remember those who gave and continue to give so much.
A reminder that Fall Break is from November 8 to 12. Classes resume on Thursday, November
13.
Saludos,
Kristal Derbyshire, Principal

Reminder of Ministerial Order #014/2024
As we move further into the school year, we are noticing that some students and families are
beginning to forget the expectations outlined in the provincial Ministerial Order and CBE’s Away
for the Day guidelines.
To support student learning and reduce distractions:
• All personal mobile devices (phones, smartwatches, earbuds, etc.) must remain powered off
or on silent and stored in lockers during the school day.
• Students are not to use personal devices or social media during instructional time.
Communication Reminder:
We kindly ask parents/caregivers not to text or call students directly during the school day. If you
need to contact your child, please call the school office and we will ensure they receive your
message. This helps limit classroom interruptions and supports a focused learning environment.
Thank you for your partnership in helping students follow these expectations and ensuring a safe,
respectful learning space for all.
