¡Hola familias de Robert Warren!
What an amazing week we’ve had celebrating Spanish Immersion Week / Semana de Inmersión
al Español! Students joined their houses — Casa de Valor, Casa de Amistad, Casa de Sabiduría,
and Casa de Ingenio — and participated enthusiastically in games, challenges, and activities that
helped them practice Spanish and show school spirit. From basketball games to the scavenger
hunt and daily challenges, the energy in our building was incredible. Next week, we will
announce the scavenger hunt winners, and the house with the most puntos will earn a well-
deserved pizza party.
We also welcomed our Latin Dance Residency / Residencia de Baile Latino, giving students the
chance to explore rhythms such as Bachata, Tango, Salsa, and Casino Rueda. Through fast-
paced, high-energy classes, students developed not only dance skills, but also coordination,
body awareness, teamwork, leadership, spatial perception, and good dance etiquette. It was a
wonderful cultural immersion that helped students build confidence while learning
‘movimientos auténticos’ from Latin dance traditions.
¡Gracias por su apoyo continuo!
Saludos,
Kristal Derbyshire, Principal

• For band rehearsals or extracurricular activities, doors open at 7:20 AM.
Please ensure students arrive at the appropriate time, as the building is not open earlier.
Winter Weather & Outdoor Breaks
• The snow has arrived, and students will continue to go outside for lunch break.
• Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather—winter coats, gloves, hats, and proper
