Robert Warren families!
It was wonderful to see so much energy, creativity, and school spirit throughout our Spirit Week activities this week! From Colour Day and Generation Day to Favourite Artist Day, Teacher Twin Day, and our Spring Fling (Bloom Bash) on Friday, students and staff fully embraced the fun.
Spirit Week brought out lots of great style—from monochromatic looks, to 90s grunge, Taylor Swift sightings, a host of bowties, and some fabulous spring outfits! A big thank you to Sra. Keen and our Leadership 8/9 class for organizing such a fun and engaging week for our school community.
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our School Council for the many ways they support our students and school community. This year, their fundraising efforts have helped provide new desktop computers for our computer lab, a 3D printer (coming soon!), the Dando Dance residency, PE and athletics equipment, U-tables and other furniture to support collaborative student learning, and much, much more. Their recent fundraiser, Rise & Grind Guerro’s specialized Robert Warren coffee, was a great success and will be available again in the future—so keep an eye out to start your morning with a special Robert Warren blend! Please consider ways you might support our school community through School Council. If you would like to connect with School Council, volunteer, or learn more about ongoing fundraising opportunities, you can follow them on Instagram at @robertwarrenparentcouncil.
¡Gracias por apoyar a nuestra comunidad escolar!

Shoebox Donation Request / Solicitud de cajas de zapatos
If your family has any shoeboxes with lids that you no longer need, we would gladly take them for use in our Business class. We are currently looking for approximately 25 shoeboxes with lids.
Thank you for your support!
Open Hours at lunch with Sra. Soltesz
Open Hours will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the lunch hour. Students are welcome to come in to work on assignments, and Chromebooks will be available for use. On Thursdays, students will also have the option to participate in literacy games and enjoy board games in Spanish.
Buddy Lunches on Wednesdays / Almuerzos de compañeros los miércoles
Join us Wednesdays at lunch in Ms. Keen’s classroom for Open Hours, Peer Buddies, and Tutoring. This is a great opportunity for students to connect across grade levels, get extra support with schoolwork or organization, and build community in a positive, supportive space.
Que Pasa Dancers
Our next rehearsal is on Monday, May 4 from 3:30–5:00 p.m. There will also be a mandatory dress rehearsal on Friday, May 8 from 1:00–4:00 p.m. Dancers should wear their painted shirts, black leggings, and runners. Please bring your lunch and healthy snacks to refuel.
Attendance at both rehearsals is necessary, as we will be doing final blocking in preparation for the performance.
Que Pasa? A of R forms are now two weeks overdue. All dancers must submit these forms in order to participate in the performance.
We are still in need of parent volunteers for the performance at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on Tuesday, May 12. If you are available to help, please contact Tina Robertson at clrobertson@cbe.ab.ca.
