¡Hola familias de Robert Warren!

December has started with lots of excitement at Robert Warren. As the weather gets colder,

please ensure students come prepared with appropriate outdoor clothing, as all students spend

about 20 minutes outside at lunch.

Next week we look forward to our Winter Band Concert at Dr. E.P. Scarlett—more details can be

found below. Please also take a moment to review the information about our holiday food drive

and gift card drive, both of which make a meaningful difference in our community. ¡Qué

emoción comenzar esta temporada con tantas oportunidades para celebrar y apoyar a nuestra

comunidad!

Stay tuned for upcoming details about Winter Spirit Week and the Winter Semi-Formal Dance

hosted by our Leadership classes.

Winter Semi-Formal Dance!

We’re so excited to celebrate the end of the year before Winter Break with a Winter SemiFormal Dance on December 19th! Dress to impress and wear your cutest, coziest, best semiformal outfit!

Entry is $2, and students are asked to bring their toonie to their homeroom teacher to secure

their spot at the dance. All money collected will go toward fun prizes for games and winter themed decorations to make the night extra magical.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Leadership 7 Holiday Food Drive

Our Grade 7 Leadership students are launching a school-wide Holiday Food Drive for the Calgary

Food Bank from December 1–18. Students can bring donations to their homeroom, and the class collecting the most items will win a pizza party.

Most-Needed Items: pasta, canned tomatoes, peanut butter, diapers (sizes 1–6),

and baby formula.

Gift-Card Drive

We will also be running a holiday gift-card drive to support families in need during what has

been an especially challenging year for many. School Council will accept e-transfers, cash, or

cheques made out to Robert Warren School Council at robertwarrencouncil@gmail.com.

All funds will be used to purchase Walmart gift cards to help families with essential itemsand holiday needs.

Please include “Gift Card Drive” in the memo of any e-transfer or cheque so Council can allocate

funds correctly.

Gift-card donations will be accepted from December 1–15.
