On Thursday, January 18, we are hosting an Open House from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

This Open House is an opportunity for families to tour the school, meet our teachers, and visit the numerous core and complementary courses and activities our school has to offer.

Our next School Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 23 at 7:00 pm.

During this meeting, the administration team from Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School will present information specific to the programs and courses offered to students.

We are inviting Chantal Chagnon to our school on February 28 and 29. 

Chantal is a Cree/Métis Singer, Drummer, Artist, Storyteller, and Educator, with roots in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.

She shares Traditional Indigenous Songs, Stories, Culture, History, Arts, Indigenous Craftsmanship and Teachings.

She is visiting our school on February 28 and 29 to share her knowledge about drumming and storytelling.  Chantal will explain to the students in small groups the significance of these activities in her culture, and how it enhances their relationships with the land and cultivates a sense of belonging. This activity is designed to promote students' sense of belonging and connection with their local environment.  

I’m pleased to share with you that we will offer our Grade 9 students an opportunity to participate in a trip to Edmonton in April. 

This trip will provide students with a range of experiences that are connected to our curriculum.
