¡Hola! My name is Srta. Vargas, and this year I am excited to be teaching Physical Education and Wellness in Grades 6 and 7, as well as Spanish Language Arts in Grades 7, 8, and 9.

Whether we are trying out a new Spanish word, exploring a new culture, or learning a new skill on the basketball court, I want my classroom and gym to be spaces where students feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, asking questions, and challenging themselves. My goal is to create an environment where students feel supported as they learn, grow, and build confidence.

A little about me: I am originally from Colombia, and my culture and language are an important part of what I bring into the classroom. I love sharing Colombian culture with my students and creating opportunities for them to experience Spanish as more than just a subject at school. I hope to help students develop a genuine curiosity and appreciation for the language and the diverse cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.

Throughout the year, Google Classroom will be our main space for lessons, assignments, resources, announcements, and missed work, while PowerSchool will be updated with assessment information.
